Malabrigo’s beautiful colors in a superwash yarn. Rios is a soft-hand, worsted-weight, 4-ply superwash merino yarn. Perfect for sweaters, scarves, blankets, hats, and wraps.
The Rios line is named after the 4 major rivers in Uruguay. Each river is represented by one ply, and these plies twist together like winding rivers. Rios also signifies the yarn’s washability; for millenia, rivers have provided water for washing garments.
Please be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag, and even within a dye lot. We will, as always, try to match skeins as closely as possible, but to ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
